⛳ Women Tee Off in Apex (March 4 and 11): Learn or improve your golf game at the Town of Apex Women’s History Month events at Knights Play Golf Course, 2512 Ten-Ten Road in Apex. Get tips from Division I women’s team golfers on the driving range and putting green. Two date options are available, both 6-7:30 p.m., and all skill levels are welcome (yep, even if you’re picking up a club for the first time). Register here, space is limited.
🎶 Live Jazz in the Study (March 4 and 11): Listen to the smooth sounds of Ricky Bugel on bass and Scott Sawyer on guitar in Peck & Plume’s study from 6-9 p.m. March 4 and 11. Half off select bottles of wine, too. Find it inside The Mayton, 301 South Academy St. in Cary.
🌙 Suhoor Night (March 6): Three local businesses, Baba Ghannouj, Asali, and Cappollas, are hosting a Suhoor Night, a pre-dawn Ramadan gathering with food before the day’s fast for the local Muslim community. 12-3 a.m. (yes, a.m.) 2462 Walnut Street, Cary.
🏃🏽 Run the Peak (March 7): The Apex Chamber of Commerce’s annual race includes a 10K, 5K, or kids’ run option. Runners take off starting at 8 a.m., register here.
🎤 Her Voice, Her Power: International Women’s Day (March 7): Meet at Academy Pavilion in Downtown Cary Park for networking and PechaKucha-style talks (think fast-moving presentations) from local women leaders. 2-5 p.m., 21 and older.
📽️ The Dark Knight at Downtown Cary Park (March 13): Downtown Cary Park’s lineup of monthly free movies on the Great Lawn kicks off with “The Dark Knight.” Crafts and activities for kids start at 6 p.m. in the Nest, and the movie begins at 7:30 p.m.
☘️ Cary’s Pot O’ Gold bar stroll: The Friday before St. Patrick’s Day, Downtown Cary businesses are hosting a bar stroll. Pick up a map and a passport at participating locations, including Hearsay, Chatham Street Wine Market, Crosstown Pub, Di Fara Pizza, Happy’s, Lawrence BBQ, Pharmacy, RBF, The Upper Deck Sports Pub, and The Williams House. Get five locations stamped to be entered to win a prize.
☘️ Doherty’s St. Patrick’s Day events (March 14 and 17): Western Wake Irish pubs, Doherty’s, have lineups of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations at their different locations:
- Apex: On March 14 and March 17, there’s a lineup of live music, Irish dance performances, and bagpipes.
- Cary: On March 14 and March 17, live music, Irish dance performances, and bagpipes are on the agenda. March 14 also has a later afterparty with a DJ.
- Holly Springs: On March 17, live music–including a band with pipes and drums–and Irish dance performances are on deck.
Celebrate Holi in Morrisville (March 14): Holi, the Hindu festival of colors, is celebrated by the town and people of all faiths and cultures. It’s one of Morrisville’s most popular events, usually drawing hundreds of attendees. 12-3 p.m. at Cedar Fork Community Center, 1050 #B Town Hall Drive, Morrisville.

⚽ NC Courage home kickoff (March 14): Enjoy the first game of the local NWSL team, the North Carolina Courage, at 7 p.m. at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary.
☘️🏀 Downtown Apex Shamrock Showdown (March 20): Wear your green or college basketball team gear to Salem Street and mingle among the different businesses offering specials 5-9 p.m. The Downtown Apex social district allows attendees to wander with an adult beverage in hand, if they so choose.
🌱 Propagation Swap (March 22): Bring your own labeled, water-rooted propagation to swap with other plant lovers to North Left Mercantile in Downtown Apex. Find tips and directions for the 4-6 p.m. community event on Instagram.
🍽️ We Here Eat Together Dinner at FigMINT Farms (March 28): A fusion dinner of Latin and Mediterranean cuisine will be served at FigMINT farm in Apex. The event will also include live art creation, storytelling, and live music during the cocktail hour. The ticketed collaborative dinner event from Sassool and Chef Isaac Duque starts at6 p.m.
