Thanks to those of you who made it to our Local News Day event at The Williams House in Cary on Thursday! It was great to talk about local news and our community over coffee.

Didn’t make it? It’s not too late to tell us about what matters to you!

➡️ Take our reader survey so we can learn more about you and local news and information you’d like to see in The Line.

The event was part of the first-ever Local News Day, a national movement with a statewide proclamation from Gov. Josh Stein.

The Line’s event was just one of many NC Local News Cafes throughout the state coordinated with NC Local, including another event at Cocoa Cinnamon in Durham with journalists from The Assembly and the INDY.

Local News Day celebrates the role of local news in helping people make informed decisions, holding people in power accountable, and connecting communities.

We always want to hear about the local news and information that helps achieve that goal. Email line@theassemblync.comto share more of your thoughts on local news in Cary, Apex, Morrisville, Holly Springs, and Western Wake County.
