Local news is strongest when it reflects the voices of the people it serves.

That’s why, on Thursday, April 9, we’re inviting you to join us for an NC News Cafe, part of the first-ever Local News Day.

Across North Carolina, local newsrooms are hosting gatherings in coffee shops, libraries, and community spaces. Here in Western Wake County, we’ll be gathering at The Williams House in Cary from 9:30-11 a.m.

Drop in anytime in that window and meet local journalists from The Line and The Assembly Network

Join us for casual conversation about:

  • What issues need more attention?
  • What questions aren’t being answered?
  • How can local news better serve you?

Come by, bring a friend, say hello, and be part of the conversation. RSVP here so we know you’ll be there and can stay in touch

We can’t wait to see you April 9, 9:30-11 a.m., at The Williams House in Downtown Cary.

Sarah Day Owen Wiskirchen is the head of newsletters for The Assembly Network and editor of The Line.
