Another sign that summer is nearly here, splash pads and spraygrounds in Western Wake have opening dates.

🌊 Jack Smith Park Sprayground in Cary opens Wednesday. 

🌊 Downtown Cary Park, which has a sprayground on Academy Plaza and a splash pad in the Nest, is scheduled to open Wednesday. 

🌊 Splashlantis at Pleasant Park in Apex opens on Saturdays and Sundays starting May 23, and daily beginning June 15. 

Other ways to cool down at parks include the misting stations at the Neighborhood Park on Carpenter Fire Station Road and Marla Dorrell Park (Kids Together Playground) in Cary, or the Morrisville Aquatics & Fitness Center, which is essentially an indoor water park.
